ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monroe County is looking for input from community members about the county’s Climate Adaptation & Resiliency Plan (CARP).

The CARP will assess the vulnerability of the county’s infrastructure, programs, and local services. The county says the hope is to create a clear path forward.

There will be various public meetings throughout the county in the upcoming weeks. The meetings will include a presentation and interactive activities to explore vulnerabilities throughout the county.

Here is the schedule for the meetings:

The CARP builds on the work of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the county’s Climate Action Plan. Phase 1 was focused on reducing emissions created by the county government’s day-to-day operations. Phase 2 has a broader focus, but will include goals such as improving bike infrastructure and encouraging use of electric vehicles.
