ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monroe County is looking for input from community members about the county’s Climate Adaptation & Resiliency Plan (CARP).
The CARP will assess the vulnerability of the county’s infrastructure, programs, and local services. The county says the hope is to create a clear path forward.

There will be various public meetings throughout the county in the upcoming weeks. The meetings will include a presentation and interactive activities to explore vulnerabilities throughout the county.
Here is the schedule for the meetings:
Tuesday, April 28: Chili Community Center, 3237 Chili Ave, Rochester, 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29: Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Rd, Webster, 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5: Arnett Branch Library, 310 Arnett Blvd, Rochester, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6: Parma Public Library, 7 West Ave, Hilton, 6-7 p.m. Thursday, May 7: Perinton Community Center, 1350 Turk Hill Rd, Fairport, 6-7 p.m.The CARP builds on the work of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the county’s Climate Action Plan. Phase 1 was focused on reducing emissions created by the county government’s day-to-day operations. Phase 2 has a broader focus, but will include goals such as improving bike infrastructure and encouraging use of electric vehicles.
