The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has yet again come under heavy scrutiny as a big-ticket scam has come out, and it has shocked many fans amidst the ongoing IPL 2026. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have been on fire this season, as has the black marketing of the tickets.
This shocking incident happened at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where home matches of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are being played. The iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is slated to host five IPL 2026 games for RCB, while Raipur will host the rest of the home games this season.
The defending champions have already played three home matches in Bengaluru—against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Lucknow Super Kings. Now, this venue has left only two games to host this season—on April 18 against the Delhi Capitals and April 24 against the Gujarat Titans.

Before this, a big scam was exposed by the local authorities involving a KSCA official. As reported by NDTV, a canteen worker named Chandrashekhar, who worked at Sri Lakshmi Canteen inside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch.
Police caught Chandrashekhar while he was selling IPL 2026 tickets at very high prices. He had more than 180 tickets and was selling each one for around ₹15,000 to ₹19,000. These tickets were for the big match between RCB and LSG on April 15, which had huge demand.
Company names used to book tickets for RCB games in bulk
The investigation started after police got the tip that some people were buying tickets in bulk and then selling them at higher prices on the black market. When officers started checking people inside the stadium, they found Chandrashekhar involved in this.
When police went deeper, they found a full network behind the black marketing of the tickets. These tickets were actually booked online through Ticketgenie in bulk using company names like Swastik Heavy Engineering and Industrial Automation Consultant Company.
Around 50 more tickets were also bought under Dharani Computers Company. Later, all these tickets were diverted and sold illegally at higher rates. Police also found that this was not the first time, as the same thing happened during the IPL 2026 clash between RCB and CSK on March 28.

₹17.5 lakh ticket racket exposed at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
Around 81 tickets worth ₹6.6 lakh were bought using the same company name and then sold at higher prices. So far, the investigation has found that 181 tickets worth about ₹17.52 lakh were bought and then sold in the black market. This shows how big and planned this racket was.
During questioning, Chandrashekhar revealed that these tickets were given to him by a KSCA member named Ganesh Pareekshit. The canteen worker revealed that the KSCA official told him to sell the tickets at higher prices.
Presently, Pareekshit is on the run, and the police are searching for him. The police have already filed cases against some company directors who may have helped in this illegal work. Notably, RCB is currently ranked second on the IPL 2026 points table with 8 points from 5 games so far.
