Georgia edge rusher Amaris Williams is expected to miss the entire 2026 season due to a torn ACL, according to a report.
That’s per a report from DawgCentral’s Graham Coffey, who says Williams suffered the injury “towards the end” of Georgia‘s spring practice on Tuesday.
This is devastating news for a Bulldogs defense that was counting on Williams to provide pass rushing production in 2026. Previously at Auburn, Williams racked up 6 tackles for loss and 2 sacks during his sophomore season with the Tigers in 2025.
Pass rushing was a weakness for Georgia last fall and it’s shaping up to be an area of concern once again. In 2025, the Bulldogs ranked dead last in the SEC in tackles for loss per game (4.21) and sacks per game (1.43).

The Bulldogs may now require more production from a player like Isaiah Gibson, who is entering his second season with the Bulldogs after signing as a 5-star prospect in the class of 2025.
Despite this injury, Georgia will be expected to compete for its third straight SEC Championship next fall.
Georgia’s spring game is scheduled for this Saturday.
