A subtle thing I liked to see: both Ben Brown and Luke Little knew the game situation and came in pounding the strike zone. If the Phillies are going to hit something, let them. When you’re up by that many, yes, you’re trying to get outs, but you also have to be sure to just throw strikes.
The Ankin Law: “Making it Personal” Player of the Game is going to be Shota Imanaga, but it feels wrong not to mention Nico Hoerner here, given his three hits, including a homer, and five driven in. They can share it, actually.
