CBS Reveals Its 2026-2027 Fall Schedule, Including a New NCIS Series

CBS unveiled its 2026-2027 primetime schedule today with just two new dramas and one new comedy, but otherwise it was business as usual. The big surprise was the addition of a new series in the NCIS franchise: NCIS: New York, which will star LL COOL J, reprising his role as Sam Hanna.

In addition to NCIS: New York, the other new drama is Cupertino, and the new comedy is the previously announced Eternally Yours.

With its plethora of series, CBS is holding two of its fan favorites, Matlock and Ghosts, until midseason. Also being held will be NCIS: Sydney and the not-yet-seen Einstein, which stars Matthew Gray Gubler and had originally been planned for the 2025-2026 season.

“It really speaks to the strength of our schedule that we’re in a position to move bonafide hits like ‘Matlock’ and ‘Ghosts’ to mid season,” CBS entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said.

Yet to be renewed are unscripted series America’s Culinary Cup and The Road.

“The unscripted shows really are on a different timeline, so we will make decisions on those later on,” Reisenbach said.
