The SEC has revealed its weekly awards for this past weekend of baseball, running from April 9-12. Four players from 4 separate schools took home awards as we enter the second half of conference play.

Phillips, on the other hand, helped South Carolina in the Gamecocks’ weekend sweep of Missouri, throwing a season-high 10 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over the Tigers.
Then there’s Tennessee freshman Cam Appenzeller, who won SEC Freshman of the Week for his relief work in Game 1 against Mississippi State, a series that Tennessee went on to Sweep in Starkville. Appenzeller totaled 8 strikeouts in 5 innings and retains a perfect 5-0 record on the season.
