On a recent episode of The Interview Room, Dr. Gary Brucato offered his perspective on the ongoing Nancy Guthrie case. Brucato, who is known for analyzing criminal behavior patterns, says the statistics tied to similar missing persons cases suggest a grim outcome—one that could shape how investigators and the public view the case moving forward.
"My sense is, this woman passed away during whatever it is that was supposed to happen," Brucato said during the conversation, which included five other panel members. He also shared what the statistics in the case show. For example, the suspect (or suspects) is likely male, the motive was likely for financial gain, and the people behind Guthrie's disappearance probably knew her one way or another.
"Also based on statistics, I think it's safe to say that it's highly improbable that she is alive," he said. "And also based on statistics, I don't even believe there is an intact body. I do not believe that somewhere you're going to find her in one piece."

"In 2026, you eliminate as much of the body as you can because you know the science is going to catch you. So, what you generally do is you dismember, or you mutilate or you burn etc. ... I would be absolutely flabbergasted if it turns out there's an intact set of remains buried someplace or laying someplace," Brucato continued.
The rest of the panel agreed with Brucato and all six members believe that Guthrie is diseased. Moreover, the panel also agreed that Guthrie's body is not intact.

Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Investigators believe that she was abducted from her Arizona home in the middle of the night. Despite receiving thousands of tips, authorities have not named a suspect, nor have they been able to locate Guthrie. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI (1-800-CALL-FBI).
