A person has died after they were pulled from a submerged vehicle in a Grundy County creek Saturday night.
According to Morris police, officers and firefighters were called to the west branch of Nettle Creek at approximately 11:32 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a vehicle in the water.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle upside down in the water, and the sole occupant was pulled out by rescue divers, police said.
The individual was taken to an area hospital, where they were later pronounced dead, according to Morris police.
The person has not yet been identified, with the Grundy County Coroner expected to make that information public in coming days.
