The Christmas Vacation Cast Reunited Last Year
Quaid reprised his role as Cousin Eddie in 1989's Christmas Vacation, which featured the iconic character emptying his trailer's septic tank into the sewer while wearing a bathrobe. Last year, Quaid reunited with Chase, D'Angelo, and Juliette Lewis, who played the role of Audrey, for a photo at Rhode Island Comic Con. The foursome of stars, who have each done tremendous work in the more than 36 years since the film premiered, shocked fans in the sweet moment.

D’Angelo told PEOPLE back in 2022 that she initially was set to turn down the role of Ellen Griswold in the first Vacation movie. She was primarily a dramatic actress, and she felt she was too young to play the mother of a teenager.
“I was so sure that I wasn’t the right person,” she told the publication. However, her agent made it clear that the film was “very funny,” and when she met Chase, she recognized they had a connection with “great chemistry.”
“It was like meeting my brother,” D’Angelo recalled.
