ROCHESTER, N.Y. — State Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan will not seek reelection in November. The republican cited recent health challenges in making the decision.
“I am proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish together and deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by my constituents,” Gallahan said in a press release.
Gallahan said he “strongly supports,” Mark Benjamin as the next assemblyman.
Gallahan will finish out the rest of his term, which ends December 31. His district includes Ontario and Seneca Counties.
