"These guys make me happy, especially when you are away from home for so long. It is an unbelievable group of guys, both on and off the cricket field. RCB is blessed to have senior players mixed with younger players in one dressing room," Shepherd insisted.

Representing the Royal Challengers, Shepherd, who featured in 8 games last season, managed to score just 70 runs in the season, striking at a mammoth 291.67. This was due to his not getting many chances to come out to bat. He had also picked 6 wickets in the game.
Starting for them in IPL 2026, Romario has yet to have an outing with the bat, as he bats much down the order at no. 7. Considering the form of the Royal Challengers batters, he might not have much of a role to play with the bat. However, he has the reputation of a powerful striker towards the back end.
He has bowled five overs in the 2026 edition, picking three wickets in the first game against Sunrisers Hyderabad and going wicketless in his only over against the Super Kings.
