The U.S. Sun reported on April 9 that Abbey, 27, and David, 31, broke up. Apparently they didn't agree on when to take a new step in their relationship.

"Sadly it’s true that David and Abbey broke up," a source told the outlet. "They couldn’t come to an agreement on when to get married. She was ready years ago, he still needed time."
The couple didn't have a main storyline in season 4. But they appeared at the end of the season to join the cast at an engagement party. The producers asked Abbey how was her boyfriend.
"He's good. We're still together," she answered in episode 7. "Neither of us are ready to get married, but we've been together for over four years. The good news is we already feel like we're already married in our hearts."
Abbey also said she didn't want to rush into a marriage because she wants to avoid divorce. David later joined her. "Hopefully, we're next!" she said, referencing an engagement.
"Yes, we can only be engaged whenever the time is right," he responded. David's last Instagram post with Abbey was on Christmas Eve. His most recent one promotes his children's book, The Big Five Save the Lions!
