With Carolina sitting seven skaters tonight, one would have hoped the Blackhawks would look to take advantage of the AHL guys who just made the drive downtown from Rosemont. Carolina scored the game’s first goal 19 seconds after the puck dropped.
From bad turnovers to overpassing, we almost filled out the entire “Bad Blackhawks Bingo” card. This was just a bad night to be at the United Center. Sorry, folks. No good way to sugarcoat it tonight. No perfume for the poop. It’s a shame that one of the Blackhawks’ young players had a huge night in a wasted effort, because this one was:
Star 1: Anton Frondell
I’m not saying it’s a sustainable pace, but Frondell has now scored in every game he’s played in at the United Center. And he added a second goal in the third period for his first career multi-goal game.

— Chicago Blackhawks (@NHLBlackhawks) April 10, 2026Star 2: Louis Crevier
He had the primary assist on both of Frondell’s goals.
Star 3: Landon Slaggert
He skated in his 100th career NHL game tonight.
Key Takeaways
Go back and watch the Frondell goal again. Keep an eye on poor Shayne Gostisbehere getting bulldozed by Louis Crevier. Thoughts and prayers to his extended family… The shots on goal showed as 7-7 at the end of the first period, but Carolina had a 24-11 shot attempt advantage. The Blackhawks blocked 10 shots in the first period, led by Frondell, Bedard and Wyatt Kaiser with two each. NOT a clean first period against a team that had a bunch of call-ups in the lineup. The shots on goal showed as 15-15 at the end of the second period, but Carolina had a 4-1 lead on the scoreboard. The Blackhawks did a better job of limited the Canes’ offensive opportunities and shot attempts… but they didn’t fix their turnover problem and that cost them. When Logan Stankoven scored Carolina’s third of the night (his second of the game), Connor Bedard, Nick Lardis and Teuvo Teräväinen were all minus-three in a 3-1 games. When Mark Jankowski scored Carolina’s fourth goal ten minutes later, Bedard and Teräväinen were wearing a dash four. Not great. Lardis got a clean breakaway inside the final 90 seconds of the first period but wasn’t able to convert on the initial shot or his own rebound. He had a lot of the Blackhawks’ best looks of the night but couldn’t find it. He’s probably going to have nightmares about this game in July. At least Bedard won most of his faceoffs?Hence then, the article about blackhawks 2 hurricanes 7 three stars key takeaways was published today ( ) and is available on Bleacher Nation ( Middle East ) The editorial team at PressBee has edited and verified it, and it may have been modified, fully republished, or quoted.
