Cinemark Theaters has unveiled a special edition bucket for the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael, and it doubles as a wearable hat.
The bucket is designed to look like the King of Pop's iconic black fedora, complete with the film's title italicized along the side. It measures 15 inches wide and 5 inches tall, holds up to 85 ounces of popcorn, and can be worn on your head once you've finished snacking.
The bucket costs $21.95 and was released onlineThursday, April 9 and promptly sold out. But not to worry, the bucket will also hit theaters nationwide when Michael releases later this spring.
As for the film itself, the casting couldn't be more fitting. Jaafar Jackson, who is the 29-year-old son of Jermaine Jackson and nephew of Michael, will be making his film debut in the title role. What followed was a two-year process of auditioning, working with an acting coach, and gradually transforming into one of the most recognizable figures in music history. Jaafar has admitted he never set out to be an actor (he had his sights set on professional golf before pivoting to music) but growing up watching his uncle's videos and films laid an unexpected foundation.
"That process of seeing me slowly transform into Michael was emotional," he said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on April 2, describing it as both "surreal and a spiritual moment at the same time."
