Well, Blackhawks fans, here we go. Four more games, all on the United Center ice, in the next six days to put a wrap on the 2025-26 season. After practice on Wednesday, head coach Jeff Blashill said they want to show the home fans how good they can be — and they’ll have to be on their game with a three of the four upcoming games against teams that are either in the playoffs or, in the case of the Sharks in the finale, trying to get in.
Tonight the Blackhawks get the Carolina Hurricanes, who have the most points in the Eastern Conference, have clinched the Metropolitan Division title already and have a 10-point lead on the rest of the division. They’re playing for the top seed in the conference, though; Buffalo (who are here on Monday) are right on their heels.
I will note for Carolina’s lineup: they called up four skaters (three forwards, one defenseman) on Wednesday from the Chicago Wolves. They did not have a morning skate, and head coach Rod Brind’Amour won’t speak to the media until after 5 this evening. So stay tuned there…

Injury Report
Chicago Blackhawks
Artyom Levshunov, Matt Grzelcyk, and Oliver Moore are out. Shea Weber (retired) and Ryan Ellis (also retired) are out long term.Carolina Hurricanes
Pyotr Kochetkov and Charles-Alexis Legault are on IR. Chatfield is TBD.What to Watch For
The Blackhawks’ five-forward power play was dangerous in San Jose. Let’s see if they can finish a few of their chances and put a couple goals on the board. This is a really good test for the Blackhawks. Carolina is one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and they play a really structured, fast game. Korchinski and Del Mastro have seen their use increase in recent games. They’ve been really good together. Hopefully they stay on that trend tonight.Get Caught Up
