Georgia basketball player Kareem Stagg was arrested on Wednesday for driving-related offenses.
The Bulldogs freshman was arrested at 2:58 p.m. and charged with speeding and driving without a valid license in Oconee Country, released on bonds totaling $1,245.
“We are aware of the charges and are actively gathering additional information,” Georgia athletics said in a statement, via the Athens-Banner Herald. “As this an ongoing legal matter, we will not be providing further comment at this time.”

Stagg started the final 8 matchups of the season for Georgia and had a few great games, including a 10-point outing in a win over Alabama to start March.
Notably, Stagg is one of a few Bulldogs to announce his return to Athens next season. He joins Smurf Millender and Kanon Catchings as notable returners for Mike White, who is looking to build off a second straight NCAA Tournament berth.
