ROCHESTER, N.Y. – High pressure settling in overhead has calmed our winds and cleared our skies, leading to an exceptionally chilly morning with temperatures starting out in the low 20s. Springtime air returns later today however, with highs in the low 50s amid beautifully sunny skies. Due to calm winds, the lakeshore will be a bit cooler due to the lake breeze. But we are Green as green can be on the Threat Tracker.
The warming trend continues tomorrow as high temperatures soar into the 60s. Morning sunshine will give way to afternoon clouds, then a front will pass by in the evening bringing rain showers. It will be breezy out ahead of that front. Friday that stationary front returns north and brings more abundant rain with cooler temps, then Saturday we get a break from the rain as the front drifts south and high pressure comes in. Sunday will be mainly dry and warmer as a warm front pushes in, but may cause some rain later in the day so stay tuned. Monday and Tuesday see the peak of this warming trend with highs in the low 70s! More rain then, however.
