ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Eastman School of Music will hold a free concert on Sunday, April 12, in remembrance of those who died in the Holocaust.
The concert will feature music written by composers who died in concentration camps during World War II and music written in tribute to those who died. The 11th annual concert, titled “A Time to Remember…”, will take place at Kilbourn Hall within the Eastman Theatre. It begins at 7:30 p.m.
The performers will include Eastman students, faculty members, and graduates. One of the pieces will be Jonathan D. Kramer’s “Remembrance of a People”, which he wrote in 1996 in memory of the Holocaust’s victims. You can learn more about the schedule here.
