Michigan star Yaxel Lendeborg had to exit Saturday night’s Final Four matchup against Arizona with an apparent lower-body injury. The standout forward was seen in obvious discomfort and was taken to the locker room following an out-of-control drive to the basket.
The play in question happened just before the midway point of the first half. Lendeborg originally returned to the Michigan bench with about 6 minutes remaining until halftime, then returned to the locker room a few minutes later.
Tracy Wolfson reported late in the first half that Lendeborg is dealing with the same ankle issue that he dealt with in the Big Ten tournament. The Wolverines, according to Wolfson, are going to re-evaluate Lendeborg before the start of the second half.
