ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A warm front lifting through the area Thursday night will also lift our temperatures through the 50s into the lower 60s by early Friday morning. Winds will also increase out of the south, helping to bump those temperatures up. A few more showers will be possible, but coverage should be minimal, with no real impact on current flooding conditions.
Friday will be windy and warm. Highs push into the lower 70s, and the wind may gust to near 40mph at times. Clouds will win out, but we’ll see some sunny intervals through the day, along with a few brief showers, possibly a rumble of thunder.
The weekend starts cloudy and a little cool, as another cold front briefly passes through Friday night into Saturday morning. But another warm front kicks through, pushing our temperatures back into the 60s by Saturday afternoon. A few more isolated showers or thundershowers are possible, but overall Saturday should be a decent day for outdoor activities. Our next cold front arrives by Sunday morning, with another batch of rain for Easter Sunday morning. Any morning Easter egg hunts will be wet, but rain will be ending by lunchtime. So afternoon services and activities will be dry, but turning cooler with highs falling back into the 30s. It’ll be chilly enough early next week for a few snow showers!
