The Phoenix Mercury announced Wednesday that Hero Bread will be the team’s new official jersey badge partner during the 2026 season.
The San Francisco-based bread company is the Mercury’s third jersey badge sponsor after partnering with Partake Foods and Flipper’s over the past two years. However, it will be the first partnership to be featured on the team’s new jerseys following a rebrand in November.
“Our rotating badge platform highlights brands that align with our organization, our community and our fans. Just like Partake in 2024 and Flipper’s in 2025, Hero Bread is committed to making a positive impact and connecting communities,” Phoenix Mercury President Vince Kozar said.
“Hero Bread brings a fresh perspective to the category and gives us an opportunity to connect performance and lifestyle in a relatable way.”
The Hero Bread jersey badge will make its debut on April 25 when the Mercury take on the Chicago Sky in South Dakota during the team’s first preseason game.
Fans in Phoenix will get a look for the first time when the team wraps up the preseason against the Japan Women’s Basketball National Team at Mortgage Matchup Center on April 29.
After finishing as the WNBA Finals runner-up in 2025, the Mercury’s 2026 regular season begins on May 6 in Las Vegas against the defending champion Aces. On May 12, the team returns to Phoenix for a home opener against the Minnesota Lynx.
