The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match no. 5 have concluded, as Delhi Capitals beat Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets. With this hefty win, DC goes to the top of the table. This 141 was their lowest ever score in IPL history. Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan were the pick of the bowlers as the two pacers picked up three wickets each and completely dismantled the LSG batting line-up. Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets, and Axar picked one wicket.

Rishabh Pant, after the loss, stated, "Best way to recover from my dismissal is to ignore it as you can't control it. The way we batted, we couldn't get a partnership for long. We had to get some who could add a few runs as the impact player because we didn't have enough, on a good pitch."
"We wanted to explore left-right at the top as to stop them from bowling from the left-arm spinner. There was enough help with the new ball. Sameer Rizvi is the hero for DC
Coming out to chase DC had the worst possible start, as they lost KL Rahul for a golden duck, with Mohammed Shami picking the wicket on the very first ball of the second innings. This is the second time Shami picked Rahul for a golden duck; previously, it was back in 2023 when the pacer played for the Gujarat Titans.
The DC batters were struggling against LSG pacers, as Nitish Rana was the next to fall, and then debutant Pathum Nissanka, who went back for just one run by Prince Yadav. On the very next legal delivery by Prince, he picked up the skipper of Delhi on a golden duck, reducing them to 26/4.
Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs then stitched a partnership of 119 for the 5th wicket, as the two batters looked in complete control, and anchored the innings playing controlled, aggressive shots, and helped DC to get over the line and achieve the total of 142 runs with 17 balls to spare.
Rizvi and Stubbs were unbeaten with scores of 70 and 39 runs respectively. The former was the man of the match for his amazing innings.
