Even when it wasn’t certain if Trinidad Chambliss would be able to play in the 2026 college football season, a big question surrounding the star quarterback was where he would be enrolled if given the green light to continue his career. Weeks before being granted eligibility by suing the NCAA, Chambliss re-signed with Ole Miss, making his plans clear (and adding a financial element to his legal argument).
There was plenty of speculation as to whether Chambliss might follow Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weiss Jr. to LSU. Chambliss, though, decided to stick with Pete Golding‘s program with John David Baker as offensive coordinator and Joe Judge coaching quarterbacks. At a Tuesday media opportunity, Chambliss was asked about differences in playing for Golding and Kiffin.

“The personalities are a little different than our old coach and Coach Golding. I’d say he’s more of like a team guy,” Chambliss said.
“And, you know, we really value, you know, his leadership, you know, whatever he says. He’s kind of show you faster than I could tell, or he’s show you faster than I could tell you. He leads by his actions, and we really appreciate that.”
