Former England captain Michael Vaughan makes a massive prediction about the fate of SRH, claiming that the Sunrisers might not advance to the IPL playoffs this season.

The English great considered that they were a bit unfortunate during their batting innings, especially during the controversial dismissal of Heinrich Klaasen, which was ruled against their favour. He hence supposed that they could have managed to put on 30-35 more runs, but that would have just meant more overs for RCB batters, and the result would have still been the same.
He said, "I will say that they got a little bit of bad fortune with the bat. Maybe they could have got 20-25 runs less there with Klaasen's wicket. So let's give them 230; that would have meant the game would have been completed in the 18th over. With that bowling side, they are not competing in this year's IPL."
Michael Vaughan downplays the quality of Pat Cummins-led SRH bowling attack
The English skipper then went on to add that with Pat Cummins adding to that bowling lineup, he doesn't see even a slim chance of SRH bouncing back in the contest. He also pointed out the lack of a frontline spinner in the SRH XI.
"Of course, Cummins will add to that lineup, but I don't see enough in terms of what they could bring in or enough with the spin either that could really cause damage," said Vaughan.
"That batting lineup might see 250 on a few occasions, but with that bowling attack, they will have to make that a regular happening. These guys could intimidate with the bat; they would have to think to go over par. So if par is 180, they will have to score a 200 or a 205. If they continuously get par or below par, I don't think the bowlers will get them out of trouble," the English great added.
Vaughan doesn't give SRH a chance to qualify for the IPL playoffs
Michael Vaughan did not give Sunrisers Hyderabad a chance to qualify for the IPL playoffs. Vaughan pointed out that they have a relatively weak bowling attack, and this would surely not give them much of a chance in the competition.
"They are not going to win the trophy," claimed Michael Vaughan. The show host on Cricbuzz, Gaurav Kapoor, then further went on to ask whether SRH stands enough of a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
