Cleveland Browns news (3/28): A new ‘Dixieland Delight’ at LT?

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry has the opportunity to reshape the franchise in the 2026 NFL Draft.

With two selections in the first round and four picks in the first 70 selections overall, Berry can find a top wide receiver (finally), grab a day one starter at left tackle (it’s only been eight years and counting), and with a little luck, fix the quarterback situation (the Browns, sadly, are never lucky).

Sticking with the left tackle position, numerous mock drafts are pointing to the Browns selecting Georgia’s Monroe Feeling, who, while behind Miami’s Francis Mauigoa and Utah’s Spencer Fano on many mock draft boards, is not without his charms.

Berry could, however, throw a spanner in the works, at least in the eyes of some, by selecting mammoth Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, who might have caught the attention of head coach Todd Monken and offensive line coach George Warhop thanks to his size and athleticism.

If draft night rolls around and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announces that Proctor is Cleveland’s selection, expect plenty of backlash from fans claiming that Proctor is simply Jedrick Wills 2.0. (Never mind that many of those same fans will be screaming that “you can’t scout a helmet” a year from now while advocating for the Browns to draft the latest Ohio State quarterback despite decades of evidence that it is a bad idea.)

Should Berry grab another “Dixieland Delight” to protect the blind side of the next great hope at quarterback? Time will tell.

What the Browns’ three new offensive linemen actually bring to Cleveland (cleveland.com) – They’re not the linemen Browns fans are used to. They won’t pancake defenders. They won’t generate the kind of highlight-reel run-blocking that turned Wyatt Teller into a cult hero in Cleveland. But after the chaos that dismantled the offensive line over the past two seasons, the Browns made a targeted series of moves, and on the latest episode of the Orange and Brown Talk podcast, Cleveland.com film analyst Lance Reisland went player by player through the tape to explain exactly what they got.
