ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 12-year-old girl is at Strong Memorial Hospital after being hit by a car Friday afternoon.
Police say it happened at the intersection of Dewey and Clay avenues around 4:25 p.m. Officers say they saw the girl sitting in the middle of the intersection being helped by bystanders.
Police expect her to survive. The driver was not hurt and stayed at the scene.
RPD is asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call 911.
