If it's been years since you've heard the name Jackie Tyler, you're in luck! Doctor Who icon Camille Coduri recently appeared on The Whoniverse Show and has revealed her reaction to the shocking regeneration twist of last season.
At the end of his last episode, The Reality War, fans were stunned to see Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor regenerate into none other than Billie Piper, who played companion Rose Tyler.
It's not been confirmed whether she's playing the next Doctor or whether there's more to that twist than meets the eye. And Coduri, who played Piper's on-screen mother, Jackie, was as shocked as the rest of us.
“I screamed. I was watching at home and I absolutely… It was a fantastic bit of television, wasn’t it?" she told host Tia Kofi.
As for how Jackie would react? Demonstrating, Coduri put her hands in front of her face, miming a scream.
“Well, I mean, there’d be an expletive, probably, but if there wasn’t, it would probably be, ‘Oh my actual – oh my actual god!'” she said.
“I think also she’d be furious and confused. And what does that mean? ‘No, you’re not the Doctor. You can’t be! Well, you’re a girl. Or are you?’
"I think she’d be thinking about herself. She’s quite selfish, quite self-centred. She’d be going, ‘Where does that leave me? Well, I’m not coming with you. All right, I will come with you.’ But, I mean, if there was any upset or she was really, truly worried, she would keep it all inside, wouldn’t she? Maybe share with her neighbours.”

Does that mean we could see a return for the legend that is Jackie Tyler? We can only hope.
Piper hasn't given much away about her return, saying at the time: "To be given the opportunity to step back on that TARDIS one more time was just something I couldn’t refuse, but who, how, why and when, you’ll just have to wait and see."
Fingers crossed, all will be revealed in this year's Christmas special, which is being written by Russell T Davies. Watch this space!
