Reacher star Alan Ritchson is ending the week on a positive note, announcing that his work on the show's fourth season is complete and that it will be landing on our screens "very soon".
The actor, famed for his stature and muscles, plays the title role of Jack Reacher in Prime Video's smash-hit adaptation of the crime novels by Lee Child.
The fourth season derives inspiration from 2009 entry Gone Tomorrow, which picks up with Reacher on a New York City subway train, where one of his fellow passengers is holding a "big secret".
The synopsis, via GoodReads, teases that a woman named Susan Mark is "being watched in Washington, and California, and Afghanistan by dozens of people with one thing in common: they're all lying to Reacher".
Her plight sparks Reacher's next perilous investigation, which is soon to be depicted in the Prime Video series, as confirmed by an update shared to Instagram by Ritchson himself.
"Here we are, in the ADR booth for the very last time for season 4 of Reacher," he says in the short reel. "There it is, we are dunzos. This thing is gonna be hitting airwaves very soon. Best season yet."
The caption to the video acknowledges that it has been a "crazy week" for Ritchson, who made headlines after footage of an altercation with his neighbour, Ronnie Taylor, caused confusion online.
It was later determined by the Brentwood Police Department of Tennessee that Ritchson had been acting in self-defence (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Police Captain Steven Pepin told THR that Ritchson declined to pursue "a potential reckless endangerment charge" and that "the case is now closed". The actor seems to be putting the matter behind him with this refocus on Reacher.
"That's a wrap for me on post-production [for] Reacher season 4,” he wrote. "This is, without a doubt, the most gripping season yet. I think we hit our stride. Firing on all cylinders… as it were."
Joining Ritchson in the Reacher season 4 cast is Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette (Barry), Sydelle Noel (GLOW), Marc Blucas (My Life With the Walter Boys), Kevin Weisman (Alias) and Kathleen Robertson (The Expanse), among others.
