Four named first team All-Ohio in Divisions IV-VII

The All-Ohio boys basketball teams for Divisions IV, V, VI and VII were released on Wednesday, and four Mahoning Valley athletes received first-team honors.

Canfield junior Jace Riccardo (Division IV), LaBrae senior Austin Rowe (D-V), Grand Valley junior Carter Turk (D-VI) and Heartland Christian junior Collin Kalaher (D-VII) all made the top team for their performance during the 2025-26 season.

    In Division IV, Hubbard senior Braydon Songer got on the third team, and West Branch senior Jeremiah Thomas got special mention. Three more received honorable mention in Hubbard senior Jakob Hayes, Canfield senior Bryce Roberts and West Branch senior Gavin Gregory.

    Pymatuning Valley sophomore Justin Britton made the second team in Division V, and Girard sophomore Braxton Sloan was on the third team. Two Northeast 8 boys received special mention, with Lakeview senior Isaiah Lantz and Poland senior Carmine Tukalo getting the honor. And LaBrae senior Angelo Melidona, Garrettsville Garfield junior Devin Bates and Pymatuning Valley’s Chase Guysinger all got honorable mention.

    Two more Trumbull County athletes landed on a team in Division VI. Mineral Ridge senior Chase Moore was named to the second team, and Newton Falls junior Phil Davis made third team. Columbiana senior Cooper Brown got special mention, and Valley Christian senior Deion Miller, Springfield freshman Isaac Dyer, Grand Valley sophomore Solomon Schultz and Brookfield sophomore Blake Hammond all received honorable mention.

    Two Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Scarlet Tier standouts made second team in D-VII, as McDonald senior Joey Cappuzzello and Western Reserve senior Connor Cochran made the list. Four more locals received honorable mention, as Heartland Christian junior Brody Conaway, Badger senior Tyler McWilliams, Windham senior Matt Kolaczek and McDonald senior Drew Zajack all made the cut.
