Good Omens season 3 has offered fans a fresh glimpse at Michael Sheen’s Aziraphale ahead of the long-awaited 90-minute finale episode of the fantasy series.
Shared on the show’s social media pages, the new image sees Sheen’s angel peering in through a window with a calm but curious expression, framed by the familiar surroundings of what appears to be his beloved bookshop.
Dressed in his signature pale coat, waistcoat, and bow tie, Aziraphale looks every bit as immaculate as ever — even if the mood of the shot suggests all is not quite as peaceful as it seems.
It makes for a rather different first look than the one recently released for David Tennant’s Crowley, which showed the demon looking distinctly more dishevelled and furious.
Put side by side, the two images hint that the Good Omens finale could have both chaos and quiet heartbreak in store as the story comes to an end.
Plot details for the final chapter are still being kept firmly under wraps, but the 90-minute special is set to land on 13 May 2026 and will bring the Prime Video adaptation to a close.
The series, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, follows the unlikely bond between angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley, whose friendship has repeatedly placed them at the centre of heaven-and-hell-sized trouble.
Season 2, ending all the way back in July 2023, left viewers on an emotional cliffhanger, with Aziraphale and Crowley pulled onto very different paths just when it seemed as though they might finally be honest about what they meant to one another. That has left fans particularly eager to see how the finale handles their reunion, or whether it will make things even messier first.
Sheen previously teased that the final instalment would give viewers plenty to talk about, suggesting there will be moments fans adore as well as developments that spark debate.
Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens, exited the TV series after he was accused of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied. He contributed to writing the Good Omens finale but he did not work on the production and his production company Blank Corporation was not involved.
A total of nine women have spoken out against the writer, with their accusations being detailed in a Vulture article published in January 2025, and in a Tortoise Media podcast released in July 2024.
Allegations included claims that Gaiman engaged them in "rough" sex and BDSM without their consent. The novelist has firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement.
He said: "As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don't, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.
"I'm far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever."
Good Omens season 3 will arrive on Prime Video on 13 May 2026.
