ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The city of Rochester’s Bull’s Head neighborhood is getting a makeover.
The neighborhood in the southwest quadrant will renovate properties on both sides of West Main Street and hopefully make for safer roads.
Sidewalks, lighting and streetscape features will be upgraded, and key intersections will be reconfigured. An off-street cycle track will be installed as well.
“By redesigning this portion of Bull’s Head, we are reshaping opportunity, safety and quality of life for everyone who calls this neighborhood home,” said Mayor Malik Evans.
The project costs almost $18 million. It will be paid for with a mix of federal, state, county and city money. It was approved at a City Council meeting in January.
Construction is expected to continue through the fall of next year. To learn more and get updates on the project, click here.
