Epic Games has confirmed that it will no longer support several popular modes within Fortnite due to the restructuring of the company. The studio stated that while Epic has experimented with various new games within the Fortnite universe, they have not been able to “achieve anything great” with specific modes, and hence they’re ending support for these particular modes because they will not have enough players to sustain them long term.
Fortnite Confirms that Rocket Racing to Exit the Track in October 2026
One of the biggest changes is Rocket Racing, which, after a two-year run, will be removed from Fortnite in October 2026. This means that all islands made using the Rocket Racing templates in the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) will also be removed.
From next week onwards, players can expect to see the removal of Rocket Racing Quests, and there are no plans to reward any more Ranked content for the current season. However, all items in your Vehicle Locker will remain yours and can still be used across other Fortnite experiences.
