ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is charged with stalking and forcible touching after Monroe County sheriff’s deputies say he followed a St. John Fisher University employee from a bus stop toward the campus.
Ramel Bell-Scott, 32, of Syracuse, is also charged with public lewdness. Deputies say that, as the victim walked from the bus stop on Fairport Road, Bell-Scott approached her from behind and grabbed her. Deputies also say he exposed himself as the victim confronted him.
The sheriff’s office says it happened the morning of Sunday, March 15. After the incident, the victim went onto the campus and got inside a building, where she alerted Fisher’s security team. Deputies worked with campus security to review footage and worked with RTS to determine where the suspect entered the bus.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Irondequoit Police Department eventually identified Bell-Scott as the suspect.
