ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man in his 30s is hospitalized after a shooting on Sunday night, which investigators believe happened at the corner of Lake and Driving Park avenues.
Rochester Police say a private car took the Elmira man to Highland Hospital around 11:30 p.m. to treat his lower-body gunshot wound. He was then transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive.
Police say the shooting “possibly occurred” around Lake and Driving Avenues, but they’re still investigating. That’s near where an RPD officer was shot on Friday while trying to question a man about a recent shooting.
No suspects are in custody for the more recent shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
