A mass shooting at a gathering in downstate Normal left six people hurt, including two Illinois State University students.
According to Normal police, shots were fired in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue at approximately 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
When police arrived, they found at least six individuals that had suffered gunshot wounds.
Two of the individuals were juveniles, along with two men and two women, according to Normal police.
All six are believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
According to Illinois State University police, two of the victims in the shooting are students at the school.
The shooting is believed to be isolated in nature, and there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
