Daytime Emmy-winning actor Vincent Irizarry is set to appear in a new on-screen project, marking his latest role following a long career in daytime television.
Irizarry, best known for his role as Lujack on Guiding Light and Dr. David Hayward on All My Children, has joined the cast of the upcoming short film His Name Is John, written and directed by Amber Karlins.
According to the film’s official Instagram, the story follows “Years after taking in a young boy during WWII, a couple must face the devastating moment when the child they saved is reclaimed by the family he lost.”

Irizarry will star opposite Kelen Coleman, who has been cast as Marta. Her involvement was also confirmed on Instagram on March 19, 2026.
On the casting of Coleman, the account shared, “It is an absolutely insane privilege to formally announce the casting of the incomparable @kelencoleman as Marta in our short film. Known for her work on hit TV shows like The Office and Big Little Lies, Kelen's nuanced, layered take on Marta is everything I, as a writer/director, ever could have asked for and then some. She's also just an all-around fantastic human, and we are immeasurably excited to be working with her!
