Real Housewife of New Jersey Melissa Gorga is one proud mommy. The reality TV star recently took to Instagram, posting pics from her son Gino’s wrestling tournament. Last January, Gorga and hubby Joe congratulated their eldest son on placing first in Bergen County (wrestling). Along with a carousel of video clips and photos of the high school senior, Melissa wrote, “Gino! Bergen County WINNER 1st place 175 lbs. Beyond proud of you!! You have heart and it’s all about heart! You want it and you work for it!” She went on to give her kiddo props for his dedication to the sport, “You train hard, up in the morning before I am jogging! That’s why I love watching you since you were a little boy working hard to be an athlete!”
In the recent post, the Gorgas continued showering their wrestler with well-deserved praise, “Watching our son wrestle here in the State championships fills me with more pride than I can put into words. Winning or losing doesn’t define this moment—the fact that he worked hard enough, sacrificed enough and believed in himself enough to make it this far is what truly matters.”

Eighteen-year-old Gino is a high school senior and (obviously) top-notch wrestler. But he isn’t the Gorga’s only child. All three of the couple’s kids have made brief appearances on Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey. Melissa’s oldest child is Antonia, a student at the University of Delaware, and her youngest is Joey Jr. (15), a high school sophomore.
Does Melissa Gorga’s son play other sports?
Yes! While it’s clear that wrestling is a priority, Gino is also a star football player. Several months ago, Melissa posted a childhood photo of her son holding a football helmet on Instagram with the words, “This was his very first day of football. He was so excited to get his equipment. He was just six years old. Today he is a senior and is going to the state championship.”
