KKR picked Blessing Muzarabani as a replacement bowler for the upcoming season; however, former Indian player Aakash Chopra believes he would not be of great use in the competition.

"But the length around which he does most of his bowling, the type of pitches in India. I am not 100% certain about his impact. It still works in the powerplay with the new ball, but not in the death. And he might have to bowl an over or two in the death overs, due to Pathirana and Harshit's absence," he added.

Kolkata Knight Riders are severely out of options in the bowling deck. First of all, they did not pick many known names in their Indian bowling deck and largely relied on overseas players like Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rehman.
