BATAVIA, N.Y. — On March 6, a Rochester man was arrested on a first degree rape charge after he forced himself into a home in Batavia, according to the Batavia Police Department.
Batavia police said Tyquawn D. Bethel, 35, entered a home of a person who had an order of protection against him, he then raped the woman.
He was arrested and arraigned in Batavia City Court and has since been taken to the Genesee County Jail on a $100,000 bail.
Other that the first degree rape charge, Bethel was charged with burglary in the second degree, criminal contempt in the first degree, and aggravated family offense.
