Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette is canceled—so what will ABC air in its place?
Paul's two-hour premiere episode was set to air on Sunday, Mar. 22 at 8 p.m. ET. However, People has confirmed that the network will air a rerun of American Idol in its place.
It is unclear what will replace the remainder of the empty time slots, as the season was planned to run into May.
Alex Cooper's brand-new dating show Love Overboard will premiere directly following the airing of American Idol in the 10 p.m. ET timeslot.

On Mar. 19, ABC pulled the plug on Paul's season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show her assaulting her ex-boyfriendDakota Mortensen in 2023.
In a statement to TMZ, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed to People earlier this week that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Paul and Mortensen.
The spokesperson confirmed “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share any further details.
TMZ also spoke to sources connected to both Paul and Mortensen, who offered conflicting stories regarding the recent alleged domestic violence incident.
Mortensen has also filed for a restraining order and for sole custody of their son Ever, who turned 2 on Mar. 19.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of domestic violence, help is available 24 hours a day through the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233.
