ABC is rumored to be considering scrapping Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette season amid allegations of domestic violence against her.
As of now, Paul's season is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Mar. 22. It was previously reported by TMZ that the network hired a crisis public relations manager to handle the controversy surrounding her season.
Though ABC has made no formal announcement, longtime Bachelor spoiler account Reality Steve reports the network may not air her season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in 2023.
"After the release of today’s DV video from 2023 of Taylor Frankie Paul, this isn’t 100% confirmed, but I’m hearing now there’s a strong possibility ABC is going to scrap the Bachelorette season and not air it," he wrote on X on Thursday, Mar. 19. "This video getting out has changed things."
Since 2009, Reality Steve has correctly spoiled numerous Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise seasons.

In 2023, Paul was arrested for alleged domestic violence following an argument with Mortensen. She was given misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief, and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child, after she was accused of throwing a chair at Mortensen that hit her daughter.
Paul ultimately pleaded guilty to a single charge of aggravated assault, and the domestic violence charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal. She is currently serving a 3-year probation.
A video obtained by TMZ on Thursday, Mar. 19 shows the incident that led to those charges. In the clip, Paul is seen hitting Mortensen, putting him in a headlock, and trying to kick him as he records her actions.
“This is called physical abuse,” Mortensen said while filming the altercation.
At one point, Paul is seen throwing metal bar stools at Mortensen while her daughter, now 8, was present in the room. The child can be heard crying as Paul and Mortensen are arguing, with Mortensen screaming “your daughter is sitting right there” as Paul throws the chairs.
According to TMZ, the police report notes the 5-year-old girl was hit and later had a “goose egg on her head.”

A spokesperson for Paul responded to the leaked video by issuing a statement to People.
“It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child,” the statement read. “Releasing an old video, which conveniently omits context, on their son’s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior. Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show, and from their own experiences.”
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department also confirmed to People this week that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Paul and Mortensen.
The spokesperson confirmed “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share any further details.
