GENEVA, N.Y. — State Police say a 23-year-old man wanted for attempted murder in Louisiana has been arrested in Ontario County.
Ethan Middleton was arrested by State Police Tuesday and charged with multiple weapon charges and DWI.
According to State Police, they got a License Plate Reader (LPR) alert Tuesday for a wanted man out of Louisiana on the thruway just before 6 p.m.
Minutes later, State Police say they found the car at a 7-Eleven gas station near the Geneva Thruway exit, and took Middleton into custody. They also say they found two loaded guns, one of them a shotgun, in plain view in Middleton’s car.
Middleton was brought to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held on his New York State charges and as a fugitive from Justice pending extradition to Louisiana.
Middleton is wanted by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana for the following:
