For the first time in nearly three decades, Illinois voters have been tasked with choosing who will fill the state’s 9th District Congressional seat, and the race became one of the most crowded in the state’s primary election.

In total, 15 candidates ran on the Democratic ticket to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, with four candidates vying for the Republican spot in the November election.
After polls close in Illinois at 7 p.m., see results below for Illinois’ 9th District Congressional seat as votes are tallied.
