Ten Democrats were on Illinois’ primary election ballot in the U.S. Senate race to replace Sen. Dick Durbin, who decided to retire after more than 30 years in office.

The Democratic race largely focused on a top trio of candidates, as Reps. Raja Krishnamoorthi and Robin Kelly engaged in a heated battle with Illinois Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton in their primary.
On the Republican side, former Illinois Republican Chairman Don Tracy is running for the nomination, facing off against five other candidates in the GOP primary.
