ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Strong gusts this morning will subside into the afternoon with areas of blowing snow becoming less of an issue later in the day. Slick roads from overnight are clearing up and should be better with some March sun helping to melt the ice and snow even with temps below freezing. Some slick spots will be possible into tonight but overall improving weather so have dropped the Yellow Alert. Wind gusts will fall to near 30mph from morning gusts near 50mph. Sun and clouds and flurries for most of us but a few local lake flakes may bring a coating to an inch in the hills south of Rochester and to some towns close to Lake Ontario. Temps today in the 20s with the feel like temp in the single digits and low teens. Bundle up!
A little lake snow may bring a few inches to some areas between Sodus and Oswego overnight into Wednesday morning. Partly to mostly cloudy elsewhere with temps in the 30s. A weak system will arrive later Thursday with some showers. Should be mainly rain with temps into the 40s. Stay tuned to News10 for updates on any lake snow that develops overnight.
