Adrian J Anchondo is celebrating a milestone with fans after marking one year on the ABC soap General Hospital. The actor, who portrays Marco on the long-running daytime drama, reflected on the anniversary in a post shared on Instagram.
In the post, Anchondo shared a clip from one of his first scenes on the series and wrote in the caption, “Happy one year to my best friend Marco!”
Reflecting on the milestone, the actor thanked the character for the opportunities the role has brought over the past year. “Thank you for coming into my life and teaching me a few things. 75 episodes in one year! My life has changed so much because of you and I am forever grateful. I’m happy to see how much love (or love to hate?) people have for you ???❤️,” Anchondo wrote.
In the same post, Anchondo opened up about the nerves he felt while filming his earliest scenes on the soap. “I can’t begin to tell you how nervous I was this first day. I had 2 days to memorize and prepare and then learned very quickly how the goal was to get everything in one take with one rehearsal. I was also contemplating quitting Grad school at this time for the show, and trying to work out like crazy to shoot my first shirtless scene? It’s been a rollercoaster ever since, but I’ve been in great hands.”
