ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Young business minds showcased their creativity at the Young Entrepreneur Marketplace Saturday.
Budding entrepreneurs displayed their cooking and baking skills, while others presented photography and apparel, including socks and bracelets.
The founder of the Young Entrepreneur Marketplace, Matthew Wagstaff, described it as “like a public market for kids.”
“We learn a lot about business and math and speaking potentially in schools, but it’s hardly any places that actually practice those real life skills, and so the marketplace was created to provide that opportunity, that platform, for young people to practice those skills they learn in school and other places,” said Wagstaff.
The Young Entrepreneur Marketplace partnered with Black Men Achieve to expand its reach and support more young people.
