Warning: This article contains spoilers from Virgin River Season 7
The new season of Virgin River has finally arrived, and it did not disappoint. While the hit Netflix show answered so many fan questions left over from Season 6, it also brought up a few questions.
One of those questions involves the new character Clay (Cody Kearsley), who just seemed to appear in Jack’s Bar one day as a savior at the beginning of Virgin River Season 7.
After Clay saved a woman being harassed at Jack’s Bar, Jack (Martin Henderson) hired him to help out on his and Mel’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) new farm. Clay proved to be a valuable asset to the farm, helping Jack fix major issues and even saving pregnant Marley (Rachel Drance).
When Clay had harsh words for Eamon (Nicholas Coombe), the father of Marley’s baby, red flags went off for Jack. However, it was soon revealed that Clay was hiding a few things, including a troubled childhood and a search for the sister he had been separated from.
Jack found out because Clay showed up at the ranch all bloody. Although Clay didn’t want to involve Jack or Mel in his personal drama, in true Jack fashion, he convinced Clay to let him in.
Even though Clay needed Jack to push his boundaries to help him find his sister, Jack gave in, knowing that Clay hadn’t really had anyone in his corner. In the end, Clay paid back the money he stole from some bad news and got Brie (Zibby Allen) to look into his missing sister.
Clay, like Jack and Mel, started as an outsider at the beginning of the season but quickly became one of theVirgin River family.
