Entin explained, "[Investigators] even went back to some of the places they visited, like the Mexican restaurant. And I was told that the FBI has even been there, sort of investigating because they went there as part of that segment."

He continued, "At the Mexican restaurant, they were telling me that the FBI came by and said, you know, was there anyone here who looked suspicious when Savannah was here filming with her mom? Anyone who wanted to take pictures, or who got angry, or who was lingering around in a creepy way? So I know that that was part of the investigation."

In November 2025, Savannah returned to her hometown to highlight a number of places and people in Tucson. Among them was El Charro, the oldest family-owned Mexican restaurant in the country, where Savannah grabbed a meal with Nancy and her sister, Annie Guthrie. The eatery is owned by Carlotta Flores and was founded by her great-aunt, Monica Flin, in 1922.

There, the Today co-anchor asked her mother what drew her to settling down in Tucson. "It's so wonderful," Nancy replied, "Just the air, the quality of life. It's laid back and gentle."

Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on Jan. 31, with the Pima County Sheriff's Department launching its search for her on Feb. 1. As of writing, no suspects have been named, and Savannah's mom remained missing despite a $1 million reward.
