Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing going on six weeks after the abduction from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and a retired FBI agent weighed in on why no one has come forward with information to claim the reward money.

"Why do you think no one has come forward yet?" Entin asked, pointing to the $1 million reward from Savannah and the $100,000 reward from the FBI for information leading to the return of Nancy.
"I think the reason is most likely the fact that the only people who have knowledge of this are culpable," Moore explained. "And so I think what's gonna happen here is that, whatever they've done—the bad guys—have done it in such a way that they've kept it from other people."
He also pointed out, "And there may have been people out there who have provided information that will one day be determined to have been valuable. But it wasn't viewed as such at the time."

To that, Entin again wondered why that huge amount of money hadn't "tempted" a potential accomplice—especially when they could get a deal.
"Yeah, they can get a deal," Moore conceded. "But if the horrible thing is true that Nancy is no longer alive, there's not gonna be a good deal for you. And how are you going to spend $1 million when you're going to be in prison for most of the rest of your life?"
Additionally, the former FBI agent noted that rewards "have pretty strong limits" when it comes to paying out to those culpable for the crime.
Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on Jan. 31, with the Pima County Sheriff's Department officially kicking off its investigation on Feb. 1. As of writing, a suspect has not been named.
